a HEALTHY MIND in

We, humans, are fragile beings and yet, we can be strong. Equally, we are so strong, and yet, we can become so fragile. What makes a difference? What determines how far we push our body towards the goals set by the heart within a healthy soul becoming one with the Soul of the World? What makes us give up too soon? In the Special Forces community, they say, ‘the 40% rule’ is an integral part of the training, in particular, and the lifestyle, in general. What tips the balance? What makes us continue and succeed or give up too easily and fail? Is it the mind? Perhaps. Who knows what we really know when we think we know? If it is the mind, how can we maintain it? How can we improve it? How can we soothe the mind and chase away – or at least manage well – our fears and relax even in the face of extremely unusual circumstances? How can we train it and find the right balance on the long path of our becoming? How can we navigate best through the meandering challenges found on the path longed for by the heart? What can we constantly do – until excellence becomes a habit – in order for us to faithfully serve the soul?

The human mind has been the object of both fascination and study for longer than the collective memory can recall. Philosophers and neuroscientists alike analyse human behaviour and the source of man’s actions in wonder. The more the brain and its connecting and coordinating frequencies are scrutinized, the more of an unfolding mystery it still becomes.

Some great thinkers call it the most complicated object in the Universe.

”The present is theirs; the future, for which I really worked, is mine” said one of the most wondrous human minds of all time. Our present is proof of his future. How is it possible for some people to look so deeply within and see so clearly ahead? Average beings like my wife and I can only speculate that the general state of mind Tesla or DaVinci may have been driven by throughout their entire life must have been like the singular moment experienced by the HarperCollins editor who said that ”reading ‘The Alchemist’ was like getting up at dawn and seeing the sun rise while the rest of the world still slept”. We can humbly imagine the scope of the peace – and truly enjoy it to the extent that we would be able to reach – ensued from having decided to go forward healthily, the harmony yielded by determined positivity. Therefore, we will continue to draw from the lessons of our own experiences and the public knowledge we can all access.

Expressing and sharing good vibes means propagating well-being. Coming together in pursuing mental health and training the brain, dear friends, could humbly, perhaps, be like a soothing prayer transcending all religions. If love is all we would really need and reach for, then fulfilment will be the fruit of all of our consequential labours. Herculean or not, ”if it doesn’t suck, we don’t do it”.

All of us keep getting tested at every step of the way. Life is a relentless test, ”like riding a bicycle; to keep your balance, you must keep moving”.
